David Peasback, President and Chief Executive Officer, joined Canny, Bowen in 1988 after having spent fifteen years at Heidrick & Struggles, the last four of which as President and Chief Executive Officer of the firm and Manager of its New York office.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, the largest executive search firm in the world, David was an Associate at the preeminent Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling. Before that he worked for Procter & Gamble and served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps for two years.

David is listed as one of “21 of America’s Leading Headhunters,” in the book, Navigating Your Career, published by John Wiley & Sons. In addition, he was listed in all three editions of the John Sibbald’s The Career Makers, published by Harper & Row.

David holds a B.A. degree from Colgate University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia where he was a member of the Law Review and Order of the Coif.
